Phone Problems 7th December 2019

Telstra apologises for any inconvenience caused by the premature disconnection of our telephones one the 2nd December, 4 days before NBN phones are due to be connected. Unfortunately "porting" to the NBN on Friday failed and as of Saturday the 7th of December we still do not have any incoming lines.

Please be patient and bear with us while we transition over the NBN, I'll keep the website updated as things change.

Here is our temporary phone number for you to use while we try to sort out this issue;

08 6319 7762

In addition you are invited to contact us by email and we'll call you back.

We sincerely apologise as despite our best plans to try and avoid this happening, it has.

John Houghton and the Team at Kalamunda Veterinary Hospital

Our dedicated team is always here for you and your pets

Kalamunda Veterinary Hospital has long been established in the Perth Hills. In April 2009, John and Tracy Houghton bought the practice with the intention of striving to promote excellent service and quality veterinary care for our patients. This has been made possible by our fantastic team of dedicated and professional staff, modern diagnostic facilities and extensive experience in Veterinary Medicine.
You and your pets require us to be here for you and to provide for your needs in an efficient and caring manner.
Our goal is to provide excellent medical care in a setting that is relaxing for you and your pets, to provide exceptional service and to have fun doing what we love.

A message from Dr John Houghton, B.V.Sc, M.R.C.V.S.

“My philosophy is, that you as a client and your pets as patients, deserve the best possible service and the highest standards of Veterinary Care. If at any stage of your visit to us, you feel you have not received this, please know that I am approachable at any time to rectify it”.

Our guarantee to you

  • We will always be compassionate, gentle and will treat your pets as if they were our own.
  • We will always provide the highest standards of veterinary care.
  • We will always do our best to communicate clearly, thoroughly explaining your pet’s needs in a way that is easy for you to understand.

Pet Insurance

My recommendation that you consider pet insurance for all of your pets. Pet Insurance is an easy and affordabe way to help budget for unexpected vet bills when your pet is injured or ill. Guild's Vet's Choice Pet Insurance is the only Pet Insurance endorsed by the Australian Veterinary Association. They have a local Perth based account manager who can deal with any enquiries you might have and all claims are managed by a dedicated, veterinary qualified, claims specialist. In addition once you've obtained pre-approval with Guild's Vet's Choice Pet Insurance it is possible to ONLY PAY YOUR EXCESS . Visit their website to see if this product is right for you.

Our commitment to communication

In order to provide the high level of service that you and your pets deserve and expect we would like to invite you to communicate freely with us. We would like to regularly contact you to ensure that we keep tabs on your pets health and will do this personally either by mail, email, text message or a phone call. Knowing that you also don't want to be harassed we will keep this communication to a level that is not irritating to you but that still keeps us in touch with you and your pets.

By liking us on Facebook you can keep up to date with what's happening at Kalamunda Vet, receive important information and special offers.
